Irish News Young Readers Project

Today P.5. began the Irish News Young Readers Project. This project is designed to deliver news knowledge and develop literacy understanding. Each child received their own copy of The Irish News and we learned about the format of a newspaper – discovering such terminology as by- line, caption, editorial, feature, masthead, jump line etc.,

A very informative and enjoyable beginning to this 8-week programme.
