THE NURSERY DAY AT PRIMATE DIXON

Our Nursery times have changed recently.

Nursery now opens 15 minutes earlier, with children coming into Nursery from 8.45am.

The Nursery day now also ends at 1.15pm.

THE SCHOOL DAY AT PRIMATE DIXON.

School gates open each day at 8.15am for our ‘Early Arrivers’.

All our Early Arrivers go to the school Assembly Hall and are supervised there.

At 8.45 all children go to school playgrounds – we have two excellent large playgrounds!

Classes begin at 9.00.

MORNING BREAKS

Primary 1 to Primary 4 have morning break from 10.30 – 10.45.

Primary 5 to Primary 7 have break from 11.00 – 11.15.

We are able to provide fruit to every child each day. This is free of charge.

We have 3 dinner breaks each day;

• 11.45 – 12.30 Foundation (Primary 1 & Primary 2)
• 12.15 – 1.00 Key Stage 2 (Primary 5 to Primary 7)
• 12.45 – 1.30 Key Stage 1 (Primary 3 & Primary 4)

Dinners and lunches take about 20 minutes each day and then all have about 25 minutes of play.

Hometimes

Our Primary 1 and Primary 2 children go home at 2.00 o’clock.

Hometime for all other classes is 3.00 o’clock.

Playtimes

Active playtimes are very important in Primate Dixon.

Play equipment is always available to children in our quad playground and footballs always available for our three football pitches in the back playground.

Children have three playtimes each day, before school 8.45 til 9.00, then at morning break and lunchtime also.
