CURRICULUM
In Primate Dixon we deliver the full breadth and depth of the Statutory Curriculum at each of its three developmental Key Stages. Statements about the school Curriculum can seem technical and bland.
Within the curriculum in Primate Dixon we really hope that we show the deep care and love that we have for every child that comes into their school.
Foundation Stage Primary 1 and Primary 2
Key Stage 1 Primary 3 and Primary 4

The Statutory Curriculum sets out major Areas of Learning.
LANGUAGE AND LITERACY – includes Talking and Listening, Reading and Writing
MATHEMATICS AND NUMERACY – includes developing Knowledge and Understanding of Mathematical concepts and numeracy
THE ARTS – Art and Design, Drama and Music
THE WORLD AROUND US – Geography, History and Science and Technology
PHYSICAL EDUCATION – Promoting knowledge, skills and understanding through play, sports and other physical activities
In Primate Dixon, RELIGIOUS EDUCATION is central to curriculum experience.
In its entirety the Statutory Curriculum aims to empower children to develop and grow to their own potential, equipped with the skills they will need for life, able to make informed and responsible choices and decisions throughout their lives.
